newsXpress has a comprehensive web strategy through which each member can pitch their businesses and sell to shoppers far away from their location of their shop.
The newsXpress web strategy was developed in 2015 with execution commencing early in 2016. From launch until the time of writing, it is the move comprehensive, advanced and commercially successful web strategy in the Australian newsagency channel.
No newsXpress funds have been used developing the sites. This has been entirely funded out of Tower Systems.
There are two types of websites supported through the web strategy: national and local.
NATIONAL WEBSITES.
These are websites created, managed and promoted by newsXpress around national brands. The current websites are:
Beanie Boos: www.beanieboosaustralia.com
Jigsaws: www.jigsawsaustralia.com.
Pop! Vinyls: www.popvinylsinaustralia.com
newsXpress promotes these through paid digital ads and Facebook marketing.
Critical to the success of the sites is member marketing of their own store landing page on each site.
newsXpress takes a fee from each transaction put through the websites. At the time of writing, this fee is 10%.
LOCAL WEBSITES.
Each newsXpress member can establish a local website with products from their Tower Systems software flowing into the site. Members can easily add in products already on the above national sites as well as products specific to their businesses.
Each member is responsible for managing contact on their local website. They are also responsible for all promotion. The most effective marketing currently is through Facebook, targeting areas not currently easily served by the business.
It is important that your local website drive incremental business and not shift in-store purchases to online.
newsXpress does not take any fee for transactions done through local sites.
CONNECTING TO THE SITES.
newsXpress members running the latest version of the Tower software can connect to the website.
NOTES.
Member website rules, found in our knowledge base, apply to access to and use of all newsXpress websites.
Access to the websites ceases with newsXpress membership ceases.
