This advice applies to all manually managed collector cards printed by newsXpress and used in newsXpress stores.
It lays out the non-negotiable rules for the use of these specific cards.
If you wish to have your own rules, please create your own card that is different in look and name to our newsXpress corporate card.
This is important as the terms and conditions noted here are published on the newsXpress website, for shoppers to access.
Please print the terms and conditions sheet and have this displayed at the counter or near the entrance.
Please ensure all team members have read and understand the terms and conditions.
How to promote the cards:
- Place them with stock on the shop floor.
- For Boos, place them in a holder clipped to the stand.
- For Pops, use both sides of the cards as a shelf strip.
- For magazines, place with magazines.
- Write about them, in separate posts, on Facebook every couple of weeks.
- When a customer redeems, ask if you can get their photo for your business Facebook page. Post it!
- Write a Facebook post every so often, depending on your circumstances, noting how many Boos or Pops you have given away in the last month.
- Ensure every shopper is offered a card. Do NOT ask if they have one. Always offer it!
- Offer cards on the shop floor as shoppers browse.
- Every month or so, on a day of your choosing, offer a bonus stamp with each transaction.
- Order replacement cards from head office.
- Be grateful every time you give away the free product.
A note on discount vouchers. Whether you offer discount vouchers in addition to the collector card is up to you. Our advice is you do, as they work differently to the cards – some may use one while others may use the other. Occasionally both but not often.
