Efficient processing of online sales is critical to customer satisfaction and repeat business for your business and all newsXpress businesses selling online
It is vital that you have a structured internal process for managing online sales and that every person in the business who sees your emails knows and follows this process.
You will be notified of an order by email. The email has attachments: invoice (for the customer), shipping label (depending on the website) and RCTI.

HERE IS OUR BUSINESS SETUP ADVICE:
- Have a permanent online orders packing area set aside where items picked for dispatch are placed, with a separate box or bag for each order.
- Place all packing materials nearby, within easy reach. Use new boxes, strong boxes for anything to be shipped boxed.
- Train all employees about the use of this area and your processes.
HERE IS OUR ORDER PROCESSING ADFOR EACH ORDER.
- Print all paperwork for each order.
- Pick all items and initial the invoice when this is done. Note the time.
- Check all items and place them in a box or bag, with the paper.
- Initial on the invoice that this has been done.
- Pack all items, carefully. For Pops and jigsaws we suggest you photograph items as you pack them, to show them being undamaged.
- Initial on the invoice that this has been done.
- Photocopy the initialled invoice.
- Complete shipping paperwork. Enter the tracking number into the dashboard for the order.
Set a goal for the business for picking, packing and shipping. Ideally, this will be within an hour of receipt of order as that is a benchmark set my many competitors. It is how online businesses are judged.

ON PACKAGING:
- Pops. Never ship Pop Vinyls in bags. Make sure Pops are well protected and placed in a strong, stable, box able to deal with knocks and shipping damage. Take a photo of the open box.
- Beanie Boos. Bag. Do not over stuff the bag.
- Jigsaws. Bubble wrap landscape. Bubble wrap portrait.
- Addressing. Ensure the address is for the recipient. This can be different to the person ordering.
