Do these things regularly, or always in the case of regular business tasks, on your shop floor and you should see a revenue benefit.
- Unpack stock. From the boxes in which they arrive.
- Price stock. Always on the shop floor. Never in the back room.
- Assemble. If you buy items that require assembly, do it on the shop floor.
- Play. Play with any item you can safely play with on the shop floor.
- Meet. If a rep visits. Meet on the shop floor and not in the back office or a coffee shop.
- Create. If you are making something for a display, do it on the shoo floor.
- Order. Order in the shop.
- Magazine returns. At the counter. Never in the back room.
The more you engage on the shop floor the more potential for shopper engagement with you. That will drive sales.
