While it may sound mundane and something everyone knows, it is important to take care in choosing the magazines to label and how to place the label.
WHICH MAGAZINES TO LABEL
- Low volume monthlies.
- NOT TO LABEL: weeklies and high volume monthlies such as Better Homes and Gardens, Women’s Weekly, Marie Claire, Cosmopolitan, Women’s health, men’s health etc.
We urge you to save money by not labelling everything. You can set in your software which titles to label.
HOW TO LABEL MAGAZINES.
- Labels should be placed on the upper left of a magazine cover.
- Do not cover the magazine title.
- Do not cover a headline.
- Place the label so it can be seen from inside the pocket.
- Place the label so it is straight.
- Every so often check the labels and ensure they are all in the same position.
Yes, this matters as it reflects on the professionalism of your business.
