Naughty sells. No, we are not suggesting you get down and dirty, selling products you are not comfortable. We are suggesting you create a space for naughty product it is safe to have out in the open.
Naughty could be sexy and / or adult language.
Grouping naughty products together can help drive sales – by making them easier to find and purchase together.
Create a safe space, away from kids products, and put all your naughty products together. Products for bucks and hen’s nights as well as for other occasions when people look for something naughty – for a work colleague, an older family member.
Be sure to use a parental guidance on your front window and near the naughty products
The space you allocate does not have to be big. Ideally, it is setup in such a way that you can move it from time to time to help more customers discover what you have.
Embedded in this idea is basic retail advice: show people what to buy and they will. By creating a naughty area you can do this effectively. You could even create sections: naughty for the bride, naughty for the groom, naughty for the older aunt, naughty for the grandfather, naughty for the work colleague.
Once you have it setup, talk about being naughty on Facebook. Go on, have some fun. If you are not sure, try it for a ‘season’ and then assess.
Consider launching with an after dark party.
