- Promote. You will win more of this business if you promote your page. Every time you write about anything available from you online through one of our sites, include a link to your specific page.
- Comment. On other groups, with a link to your site, if you have a good comment to make about a post and if you have product that is relevant to the comment.
- Range. This matters as people. The more stock you have the more people will find what they are looking for.
- Talk. Let people know you are online. They may tell others. This will help grow natural sales.
- Location. This is a factor, but one you cannot change too much.
The best thing we all can do is to grow the pool of shoppers. All newsXpress members on our websites have an obligation to do this.
Here are our specific tips:
- Regularly promote your landing pages for each site you are part of. But do this in a clever and fun way. Focus on a product at a time, or a family of products. The goal of each post is to make the product appealing without coming across as too sales focussed. By regularly, we think at least every couple of weeks. Include in the promotion a photo of your in-store range.
- Have a broad range of stock. Show this off in-store with regularly changing displays.
- Hold onto Boos and other products that are popular so you have them when others sell out.
- Pitch click and collect in-store.
- Pitch online layby as an easy to shop solution.
- Ensure you are on allocation with Big Balloon.
When you post on Facebook, use different audiences, not the same one every time.
Select a wide audience reach, beyond your regular business reach. If you are in a country town with no newsXpress stores for 100+km, setup multiple towns in your boosted post reach.
