Christmas in July is an opportunity to sell anything you want moved. While the theme is Christmas, it does not have to be all about Christmas. Here are tips for making the most of this opportunity:
- SET YOUR TIMING. We suggest a week, no more than two.
- DRESS THE SHOP. Go all in in-store and on social media.
- CLEAR OUT CHRISTMASES PAST. Discount this old product to quit. Give your customers excellent deals.
- DRESS FOR THE OCCASION. Have a uniform them connected to Christmas or holly with name badges - something for each team member to connect with Christmas.
- HAVE A PARTY. Run a party themed to a category of products you sell, such as beanie Boos,
- RAISE MONEY. Collect for a local charity, one that does good works especially at Christmas.
- CELEBRATE PEOPLE. Setup a tree or a tree wall for celebrating local people ands good things they have done.
- THEME SOCIAL MEDIA. Every couple of days pitch a Christmas in July post.
- ART. Give an award for the best Christmas themed art.
- FOOD. Have something Christmas-themed for people to eat on one day in the season.
- ENCOURAGE IN-STORE ENGAGEMENT. A discount for people who:
- Come in and sing a Christmas carol.
- People who wear a Christmas outfit.
- People who buy Christmas cards or wrap.
Above all, have fun.
