- Stop promoting magazines, papers or lottery products on social media.
- Don't put up magazine posters.
- Put products on display in the front third of your shop that people don't expect you to sell.
- Prizes and donations should reflect your point of difference. Next time you give to a local charity or school, give a prize that is not people expect from a newsagency business.
- Buy appropriately. Your buying determines what people see in your store and therefore how they judge your type of business. Buy outside what is usual for a newsagency and this sets you up for social media photos of products that are not newsagency products.
